IDENTIFIED

Technicians have succeeded in establishing safe access to fibre on one side of the fault where a joint will be created. Setup is underway at the same time on the other side for an overlay to be completed.

IDENTIFIED

A fibre fault has been identified affecting a REANNZ backhaul circuit connecting the Tauranga and Rotorua regions. Redundant traffic paths remain available, but further cuts in these regions occurring simultaneously to this fault would be expected to cause network outages. Technicians are onsite to complete repairs, though the local environment makes this challenging. Updates will be made available as they become known.
