MONITORING

The vendor is still investigating the underlying cause of the fault. Their preliminary assessment is that it was a rare event, requiring a specific combination of conditions, and is unlikely to recur. Services have remained stable since they were restored on 25 September. We will post a final update once the vendor’s investigation is complete.

The fault has been logged with the hardware vendor. No further updates expected until next week.

IDENTIFIED

We have experienced a service disruption with one of our core router at Mayoral Drive Exchange POP approximately 1:30pm during a routine configuration change. The initial suspect has been identified and the connection has now recovered but we will continue to monitor the situation and perform a thorough investigation of what caused the outage. Apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused.
